Rwanda is tarmac between towns and murram the moment you turn towards a park gate. Our fleet is built around that: diesel Land Cruiser Prados for the long northern and western routes, a pop-top Land Cruiser for Akagera game drives, RAV4s for couples on the Kivu road, and Hiace and Coaster buses for teams and groups.

Every car is owned and maintained by us, not sub-let from a private owner. Clients tell us ours are newer and in better shape than what they hired before, and that matters at 5am on the way to Kinigi.

Self-drive, or with a driver-guide — same cars, same rates.

Take the keys and go, or add a professional driver-guide for $35 a day who knows every hill, park gate and shortcut. Driver-guides speak English, French and Kinyarwanda, and their meals and lodging are included.

Whichever you choose, the rate includes insurance, unlimited kilometres in-country and a full tank at handover. Fuel on the road is yours; permits and park fees are quoted separately once we know your dates.

Is delivery really free anywhere in Rwanda?

Yes — we deliver and collect the car anywhere in the country at no charge: the airport, your hotel, or as far as Karongi and Rubavu. The car arrives with a full tank.

What is included in the daily rate?

Unlimited kilometres in-country, insurance, roadside support and a full tank at handover. Fuel on the road, park fees and permits are quoted separately.

How do I pay, and how much to reserve?

30% holds the vehicle and lets us buy permits the same day. Pay by card, mobile money or bank transfer. No payment is taken online through the site.

Which car do you recommend for the parks?

A Land Cruiser Prado for Volcanoes and Nyungwe, a pop-top Safari Land Cruiser with driver-guide for Akagera, and a RAV4 for Kigali, Lake Kivu and the tarmac routes. Families with bags usually take the seven-seat Fortuner.

Are child seats available?

Yes — ask for a child seat when you book and we fit it before delivery. There is a small daily charge.

How far in advance should I book?

As soon as your dates are fixed. Cars are usually available at short notice, but gorilla permits and park lodges sell out in the dry seasons (June to September, December to February).

Do you offer monthly or long-term rates?

Yes. Weekly and monthly hire comes at reduced rates for expatriates, consultants and projects, with servicing and a replacement vehicle handled by our own workshop.
